Dnipropetrovsk Iron and Steel Works sees reduced outputs in April

In April of the current year, Ukrainian steelmaker Dnipropetrovsk Iron and Steel Works (Petrovsky), a subsidiary of Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group, saw its finished steel production fall by 24.1 percent compared to March to 63,000 mt, declining by 8.7 percent year on year. In April, Petrovsky produced 72,000 mt of crude steel - down 22.6 percent, and 83,000 of pig iron - down 5.7 percent, both compared to March.

In January-April this year, Dnipropetrovsk Iron and Steel Works' finished steel production declined by 7.9 percent compared to the same period last year, falling to 268,000 mt.
