Chilean rebar sales increase in September

Chilean rebar sales in September rose 16.5 percent, year-on-year, to 42,012 mt, according to the nation’s chamber of civil construction (CChC). Local rebar sales in September dropped 8 percent, on a month-on-month comparison, from 45,678 mt in August this year.

Chilean rebar sales volumes in September this year represented the country’s third lowest results thus far, following sales volumes of 39,440 mt in May and 40,582 mt in April this year.

Chilean rebar sales in the accumulated period of January to September this year reached 394,446 mt, 5.6 percent up, year-on-year.
