Chilean rebar sales in August decline 15.1 percent

Chilean rebar sales in August declined 15.1 percent, year-on-year, according to information released by the nation’s chamber of civil construction, CChC.
 
Local rebar sales in August totaled 39,206 mt, 15.8 percent down, month-on-month, from 46,565 mt.
 
As for the January-August period, Chilean rebar sales reached 350,868 mt, 5 percent up, year-on-year, from 334,147 mt.
 
August’s figures indicate a decline in the country’s domestic sales of rebar after two consecutive months of growth, when the product’s shipments totaled 44,059 mt in June and 46,565 mt in July.
