Chilean rebar sales decline in October

Chilean rebar sales in October declined declined 8.5 percent, year-on-year, according to data released by the country’s civil construction chamber, CChC, on Thursday.
 
According to CChC, local rebar sales in October totaled 47,167 mt, 34.2 percent up, month-on-month, from 35,149 mt in September.
 
In the accumulated period of January to October, Chilean rebar sales totaled 433,184 mt, 1.8 percent up, year-on-year.
 
Despite the decline in the year-on-year analysis, October’s data represents the country’s second best month, just after May, when rebar sales totaled 48,526 mt.
