Chilean rebar sales decline in April

Chilean rebar sales in April declined 7.3 percent, year-on-year, according to the nation’s civil construction chamber (CChC). Local rebar sales in April reached 40,582 mt, down from 43,785 mt in the same month of the year prior.

April’s data also represent the lowest rebar shipment level reported so far in the year. According to CChC, Chilean rebar sales in the accumulated period from January to April totaled 177,734 mt, up from 169,612 mt in the same period of the year prior.
