According to Anfavea, automotive production in Brazil reached 247,000 units in August against 239,800 units in July.
Domestic sales declined by 7.3 percent to 225,400 units, while exports increased by 19.3 percent, reaching 57,100 units.
When compared to August 2024, production in August 2025 saw a decline of 4.8 percent, domestic sales declined by 5.1 percent, and exports rose by 49.3 percent.
Forecasts by Anfavea continue to indicate 2025 total production increasing by 7.8 percent from 2024 to 2.749 million mt, domestic sales increasing by 6.3 percent to 2.653 million mt, and exports increasing by 7.4 percent to 428,000 units.
Igor Calvet, Anfavea’s President, stated that the 2025 production forecast remains pushed byrising exports, offsetting lower domestic sales.
