Automotive sales in Turkey up 9.9 percent in November from October

In November this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 17.5 percent year on year and were up by 9.9 percent month on month to 100,859 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey decreased 20.7 percent year on year and were up by 7.7 percent month on month to 75,956 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles decreased by 6.1 percent year on year and were up by 17.1 percent month on month to 24,903 units.

Meanwhile, in the January-November period of this year domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles saw a decrease of 2.6 percent year on year, amounting to 819,954 units. In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country decreased by 3.98 percent to 623,065 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles rose by 2.06 percent to 196,889 units, both on year-on-year basis.
