Argentina’s automotive production decreases in September

Argentina produced 56,750 units (cars and light commercial vehicles) in September this year, 10.6 percent less than in August and 8.7 percent more than in September 2022.

Exports in September increased by 23.2 percent from August to 35,555 units, representing a 0.5 percent increase from September 2022.

Domestic sales reached 43,282 units in September, up by 42.9 percent compared to the previous month and by 25.1 percent compared to September 2022.

During the first nine months of 2023, Argentina’s production of vehicles increased by 18.1 percent year on year to 465,326 units. 

In the same period, exports increased by 6.2 percent to 245,124 units, while domestic sales rose by 13.5 percent to 311,365 units, both year on year.
