According to the Argentine association of vehicles producers, (ADEFA), Argentina produced 41,716 units (cars and light commercial vehicles) in March, 40.8 percent more than the 29,632 units produced in February.

Exports increased by 66.6 percent to 26,646 units, while domestic sales increased by 14.2 percent to 41,453 units, of which only 11,638 units were produced in Argentina.

When compared with March 2025, year-on-year production rose 0.4 percent, exports increased by 9.7 percent, while domestic sales declined by 13.5 percent.

“We closed a first quarter that reflects progress compared with trends shown at the beginning of the year," said  Rodrigo Pérez Graziano, president of ADEFA . “March activity showed signs of recovery, reaching a production of 41,716 units and a month-over-month growth of 40.8 percent.” He continued. "However, the final figures for the quarter (92,346 units) place us 19 percent below the same period in 2025, which indicates that to consolidate the upward trend and transform the recovery into sustained growth, the key is to continue working on our competitiveness agenda.”

Graziano added that the sector is working with the whole production chain to reduce structural costs, optimize processes and improve efficiency of operations.
