Argentina’s auto production increases 26.1 percent in March

Argentina produced 61,104 units (cars and light commercial vehicles) in March, 26.1 percent more than in February and 25.4 percent more than in in March 2022.

Exports increased from February to March by 35.3 percent to 32,420 units, representing a 31.7 percent increase from March 2022.

Domestic sales reached 38,027 units in March, 26.4 percent more than in February and 12.6 percent more than in March 2022.

According to Martin Galdeano, president of the country`s auto industry association Adefa, the numbers achieved by the sector during the first quarter confirm the upward trend forecasted for 2023.

He added that the increases in production, domestic and export sales reflect the work developed along the production chain and next to the country’s authorities.

During the first quarter of 2023, Argentina’s production of vehicles increased on yearly basis by 28.1 percent to 134,574 units.
