Argentina’s auto output rises 19 percent in August from July

Argentina’s auto production output in August this year totaled 49,335 units, rising by 19 percent month on month and up by nine percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.

According to Adefa, Argentinian auto exports increased by 10.7 percent in August compared to the previous month and were up by 59.6 percent compared to August last year to 28,068 units. Meanwhile, car sales in the country in August totaled 52,224, increasing by 12 percent month on month and falling by 31.9 percent year on year.

The nation’s automotive industry produced 333,440 units in the January-August period of this year, 9.7 percent more year on year. In the same period, exports rose to 175,001 units, up 34.1 percent year on year.
