Argentina’s auto output falls 24.5 percent in September from August

Argentina’s auto production output in September this year totaled 37,267 units, decreasing by 24.5 percent month on month and down by 20.6 percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.

According to Adefa, Argentinian auto exports declined by 16.9 percent in September compared to the previous month and were up by 13.5 percent compared to September last year to 23,336 units. Meanwhile, car sales in the country in September totaled 42,628, decreasing by 18.4 percent month on month and falling by 44.1 percent year on year.

The nation’s automotive industry produced 370,707 units in the January-September period of this year, 5.6 percent more year on year. In the same period, exports rose to 198,337 units, up 31.3 percent year on year.
