Arcelor acquires sheet piling operation of Corus

According to the statement released by Arcelor, the company has reached an agreement with Corus to acquire its UK sheet piling commercial operations. The deal, which covers transfer of sales and personnel of the operation to Arcelor, means end of Corus' UK sheet piling business. An official from Arcelor stated that, with the new transaction Arcelor will be able to present wide range of products to its customers in UK. Sheet piles are hot rolled long carbon steel products mainly used in civil engineering.
