The Romanian seamless pipe market has continued to suffer from low demand. Over the past month, seamless pipe suppliers in Romania have tried to keep their offer levels stable, but have seen business activity slow down.

As the market still fails to show signs of recovery, market players expect seamless pipe prices to decrease slightly in the coming period, impacted by both soft demand and falling raw material costs.

Romanian domestic quotations of 3"-10" seamless pipes made to ASTM or EN are at about €950-980/mt ($1,226-1,264/mt) delivered, excluding 24 percent VAT.

Export offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes of grade B made to ASTM A106/API 5L are being given by ArcelorMittal Roman to the external markets at around €980-1,000/mt ($1,264-1,290/mt) FCA, 12"-16" seamless pipes are quoted at €1,020-1,120/mt ($1,315-1,445/mt) FCA, while 18"-20" pipes are at about €1,280-1,300/mt ($1,651-1,677/mt) FCA, all for December production.

Import offers of 3"-10" seamless pipes from the Czech Republic (ArcelorMittal) of grade B as per ASTM A106 are being given to the Romanian market at €1,030-1,050/mt ($1,329-1,355/mt) CPT.
