Turkish mills continue to cut their ship scrap prices

As of today, June 22, another $10-25/mt fall has been recorded in Turkey’s ship scrap market. Izmir-based Turkish mills have reduced their ship scrap procurement prices to $345/mt from $355-370/mt. With only three of them still buying ship scrap, the total decline in Turkey’s ship scrap market has reached $115-125/mt since the beginning of June, depending on the mill. 

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
