One of the Turkish mills located in the Izmir region has increased its ship scrap purchase price this week by $6/mt. The general range of Turkey’s ship purchase scrap prices now stands at $320-336/mt, merely moving up by $1/mt on the upper end. The stability of the deep sea scrap market is reflected in Turkey’s ship scrap quotations and no sharp price revision is expected in the segment for the foreseeable future.
In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
| Producer | Price ($/mt) | Price change ($/mt) |
| Özkan Demir Çelik | 330 | 0 |
| Habaş | 320 | 0 |
| Ege Çelik | 336 | +6 |
| İDÇ | 335 | 0 |
All the above prices are for delivery to mill by truck.
