As anticipated by SteelOrbis, Turkish mills have cut their ship scrap prices this week, reducing the general range of Turkey’s ship purchase scrap prices by $5/mt on the upper end, to $320-335/mt. For now, ship scrap quotations are expected to remain stable as the deep sea scrap market tries to find common ground.
In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
| Producer | Price ($/mt) | Price change ($/mt) |
| Özkan Demir Çelik | 330 | -5 |
| Habaş | 320 | 0 |
| Ege Çelik | 330 | -6 |
| İDÇ | 335 | -5 |
All the above prices are for delivery to mill by truck.
