Turkey’s ship scrap prices converge upwards at $370/mt

As of today, July 5, with an Izmir-based Turkish mill increasing its ship scrap procurement prices by $15/mt, local prices have converged at $370/mt, up from the range of $355-370/mt recorded yesterday, July 4. The total increase observed in Turkey’s ship scrap market is $25-35/mt since the beginning of July, depending on the mill.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
