Turkey’s ship scrap market remains stable, one mill cuts prices

Since SteelOrbis’ report published yesterday, September 15, Turkey’s ship scrap market has remained stable at $345-350/mt for delivery to mill by truck. A $5/mt cut is observed for one mill. SteelOrbis hears that “the flow to yards is not that strong, but mills also do not need a faster pace.”

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
