As of today, June 30, one Izmir-based Turkish mill has reduced its ship scrap procurement price by $5/mt, while another has increased its price by $10/mt. The general range is still at $335-345/mt. The total decline in Turkey’s ship scrap market has recovered a little on the upper end to $115-130/mt since the beginning of June, depending on the mill. The positive sentiment in the deep sea segment may support ship scrap prices in the coming period.
