Turkish mills have revised their scrap procurement prices since August 4. One Izmir-based producer has cut its prices by $10/mt since then, while two mills increased their quotations by $7-10/mt. The general range is now at $335-348/mt from $330-345/mt, both for delivery to mill by truck. The increase on the upper end is the result of the relatively more positive mood in Turkey’s import scrap market.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:

Producer

Price ($/mt)

Özkan Demir Çelik

345

Habaş

340

+10

Ege Çelik

All the above prices are for delivery to mill by truck.
