Turkey’s ship scrap market moves up to $390/mt

As of today, July 18, one Izmir-based Turkish mill has increased its ship scrap procurement price by $20/mt as compared to the price in SteelOrbis’ report on July 7, with local ship scrap procurement prices now at $390/mt. The total increase observed in Turkey’s ship scrap market is $45-55/mt since the beginning of July, depending on the mill. Having returned from its week-long holiday, Turkey’s ship scrap market may see new price revisions in the coming period.
