Turkey’s ship scrap market increases on upper end

As of today, July 1, one Izmir-based Turkish mill has increased its ship scrap procurement price by $5/mt, while the other local mills have kept their prices stable. The general range has increased by $5/mt on the upper end from yesterday to $335-350/mt. The total decline in Turkey’s ship scrap market stands at $115-130/mt since the beginning of June, depending on the mill.

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
