One Turkish steelmaker has raised its ship scrap procurement prices by $15/mt today, August 10. As a result, Turkey’s ship scrap market has settled at $370-405/mt for delivery to mill by truck. The mill in question has concluded less than the usual number of short sea scrap deals in past weeks and is rumored to have finished steel orders on hand, so it is trying to secure the scrap it needs.
