As of today, June 24, two Izmir-based Turkish mills have reduced their ship scrap procurement prices by $5/mt, with the general range now at $340-345. The total decline in Turkey’s ship scrap market has reached $115-130/mt since the beginning of June, depending on the mill. “Before the mood in the import scrap segment recovers, the pressure on ship scrap will continue,” a source commented.
