Today, August 16, one Turkish mill has increased its ship scrap procurement price again by $5/mt. The general range is now at $335-365/mt from $335-360/mt previously, both for delivery to mill by truck. The lower end of the ship scrap market is represented by İDÇ, an Izmir-based producer that has taken a step back from ship scrap purchases since the uptrend of prices started. Since August 10, the start of the price increase, Izmir based producers, excluding İDÇ, have increased their ship scrap prices by $7-20/mt.
