Small increase in Turkey’s ship scrap market

Turkish mills’ general purchase price range in Turkey’s ship scrap market is currently at $390-410/mt for delivery to mill by truck, $2/mt higher on the upper end. While most Izmir-based mills have increased their prices to accelerate ship scrap flow as compared to Friday, January 27, one of them has kept its ship scrap procurement quotation stable. Due to the increases observed in the deep sea segment, higher prices are possible in the ship sea segment.
