On August 15, SteelOrbis reported Indian domestic silicomanganese offer prices at INR 63,500-64,500/mt ($905-919/mt) ex-works in both the Raipur and Durgapur regions with Raipur prices on the lower end of the range.
Sources inform SteelOrbis that domestic silicomanganese offer prices have increased to INR 67,200-67,500/mt ($926-930/mt) ex-works Raipur and INR 67,400-68,000/mt ($929-937/mt) ex-works Durgapur. The increase in domestic prices is partially attributed to the weaker INR against the dollar. With prices in Raipur previously at about $905-910/mt, prices in the region increased $20-$21/mt. In the Durgapur region, prices were estimated at about $910-919/mt and have increased $18-19/mt.
