On January 24, SteelOrbis reported ex-India ferrochrome (HC 60 percent) offers to China firming up at $1,980-2,000/mt CIF China. The increase was attributed to the additional stocking of ferrochrome prior to the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday on February 15-21.

Sources report a continuation of the same trend that has ex-India ferrochrome (HC 60 percent) offers to China at $2,000-2,050/mt CIF China. The present range represents an increase of $20/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $50/mt from the top of the same range.
