Brazilian exports of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) increased from 10,300 mt in August to 51,300 mt in September, according to the local ministry of development, industry and foreign trade, MDIC.

The average FOB export price declined by 12.7 percent to $665/mt, with price deals probably closed in July, pointing to CSN exporting at $655/mt, Usiminas at $660/mt and ArcelorMittal at $688/mt, all FOB conditions.

A local exporter informed SteelOrbis that his most recent export deals were closed at $726/mt, FOB.

The higher volume exported in September reflects chiefly exports by CSN increasing from 2,000 mt in August to 32,400 mt in September, while Usiminas exported 11,000 mt and ArcelorMittal exported 7,700 mt.

The main destinations of the Brazilian HDG in September were the US (35,800 mt) and Argentina (12,000 mt).
