According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tin plate totaled 9,110 mt in May 2019, down 3.5 percent from April and down 13.6 percent from May 2018 levels. By value, tin plate exports totaled $7.1 million in May, compared to $6.8 million in the previous month and $7.9 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most tin plate to India in May with 3,815 mt, compared to 3,814 mt in April and 3,474 mt in May 2018. Other destinations include Canada, with 1,295 mt; and Pakistan, with 1,165 mt.
