According to final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of structural pipe and tube totaled 38,764 mt in June 2023, down 0.5 percent from May but up 2.4 percent from June 2022 levels. By value, structural pipe and tube imports totaled $63.6 million in June 2023, compared to $67.9 million in May and $71.8 million in June 2022.
The US imported the most structural pipe and tube from Canada in June, with 20,427 mt, compared to 21,433 mt in May and 19,389 mt in June 2022. Other top sources of imported structural pipe and tube in June include South Korea, with 8,729 mt; and Mexico, with 6,743 mt.
