US structural pipe and tube exports down 3.5 percent in April

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of structural pipe and tube totaled 10,311 mt in April 2023, down 3.5 percent from March and down 18.9 percent from April 2022. By value, structural pipe and tube exports totaled $19.4 million in April, compared to $20.0 million in the previous month and $26.1 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most structural pipe and tube to Canada in April with 6,368 mt, compared to 6,304 mt in March and 8,045 mt in April 2022. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 3,483 mt.
