US structural pipe and tube exports down 1.5 percent in July

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of structural pipe and tube totaled 10,127 mt in July 2023, down 1.5 percent from June and down 1.8 percent from July 2022. By value, structural pipe and tube exports totaled $19.3 million in July, compared to $19.9 million in the previous month and $27.8 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most structural pipe and tube to Mexico in July with 4,941 mt, compared to 5,252 mt in June and 4,358 mt in July 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 4,855 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US structural pipe and tube exports in July.
