Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending July 14, 2023, the US rotary rig count declined by five rigs to 675.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by two to 133, while the number of rigs drilling for oil fell by three to 537. The overall US rig count is down by 81 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count rose by 12 to 187 rigs in the week ending July 14. The Canadian rig count is down by four rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
