US cold finished bar exports up 6.4 percent in February

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of cold finished bar totaled 11,458 mt in February 2023, up 6.4 percent from January but down 14.8 percent from February 2022. By value, cold finished bar exports totaled $25.8 million in February, compared to $23.6 million in the previous month and $26.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most cold finished bar to Canada in February with 6,843 mt, compared to 5,792 mt in January and 7,040 mt in February 2022. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 3,791 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US cold finished bar exports in February.
