Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, said on Tuesday two norms from Canacero, the local steel association, will take effect in 60 days.

According to Canacero, the NMX-B-520-CANACERO-2018 regulation sets the general terms and definitions for non-destructive testing. The regulation is divided into two parts. The NMX-B-520-CANACERO-2018 covers part one, SE said.

Additionally, PROY-NMX-B-293-CANACERO-2018 sets the requisites for uncoated stress-relieved steel wires for prestressed concrete.

The PROY-NMX-B-293-CANACERO-2018 regulation will replace the former NMX-B-293-CANACERO-2012 norm.
