Turkey's steel export value down 30.6 percent in November

According to the provisional foreign trade statistics compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the Turkish Undersecretariat of Customs, in November this year Turkey's foreign trade deficit decreased by 49.1 percent to $4.24 billion compared to November 2014. In the first 11 months of this year, Turkey's foreign trade deficit decreased by 25 percent year on year to $57.02 billion.
 
In November, Turkey's iron and steel exports ranked ninth among the country's products with the highest export value, totaling $418.17 million, decreasing by 30.6 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given month the value of exports of articles of iron or steel, which ranked seventh among the products with the highest export value, fell by 13.7 percent year on year, amounting to $446.47 million.
 
In the first 11 months of this year, Turkey's iron and steel export value decreased by 28.1 percent to $6.068 billion, while the value of its exports of articles of iron or steel declined by 12.8 percent to $5.034 billion, both year on year.
