Turkey’s rebar exports slightly rises in January

In January this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 558,679 metric tons, up 11.5 percent compared to December and rising by 0.7 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $264.4 million, falling by 9.9 percent compared to January 2018 and up 5.7 percent month on month.

In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 158,564 metric tons, up 81.06 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by UK with 74,607 metric tons and Israel with 50,385 metric tons.
