In October this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 513,308 metric tons, up 14.8 percent compared to September and rising by two percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $194.8 million, increasing by 8.9 percent compared to October 2015 and up 14.5 percent month on month.
In the January-October period of this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 5.67 million mt, falling by 4.1 percent, while the value of these exports decreased by 17.55 percent to $2.12 billion, both year on year.
In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was the US which received 1,076,101 metric tons, down 4.87 percent year on year. The US was followed by the UAE with 1,028,079 metric tons and Egypt with 707,855 metric tons.
