Turkey’s rebar exports decrease by 48 percent in January-August

In August this year, Turkey’s rebar exports amounted to 370,830 metric tons, up by 12.1 percent compared to July and down by 35.8 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $218.56 million, rising by 6.4 percent compared to the previous month and declining by 42.7 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-August period of this year, Turkey’s rebar exports amounted to 2.10 million metric tons, down by 48.0 percent compared to the same period last year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $1.37 billion, falling by 55.0 percent year on year.
