In October this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports increased by 22.1 percent to 58,172 mt compared to the previous month and up 24.6 year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $29.2 million, increasing by 10.9 percent month on month and up 25.8 percent year on year.
During the January-October period this year, Turkey's CRC imports increased by 16 percent to 656,931 mt, while the value of these imports amounted to $293 million, falling seven percent, both year on year.
In the first ten months of the current year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 290,824 mt, up 17.73 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 112,229 mt, up 16.14 percent compared to the same period of 2015.
