In November last year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports increased by 33 percent month on month to 73,905 mt, up 83.3 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was 84.2 million, increasing by 31.2 percent compared to October and up 255.1 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of last year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 741,759 metric tons, up 13.2 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these imports totaled $700.2 million, increasing by 104.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
In the first 11 months of last year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 296,855 mt, down 23.7 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from China totaled 249,583 mt.
