In December last year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 27.2 percent month on month to 31,914 mt, down 53.1 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $19.97 million, falling by 37.3 percent compared to November and down 56 percent year on year.
Last year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 772,163 mt, down 15.6 percent, while the value of these imports decreased by 3.3 percent to $515.66 million, both year on year.
In the given period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 377,433 mt, down 3.43 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from China totaled 96,715 mt.
