Turkey's basic metal output up 8.1 percent in May from April

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in May this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production increased by 17.4 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was down by 19.9 percent compared to May 2019.

In May, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey rose by 8.1 percent month on month and declined by 20 percent year on year.

The index for the production of fabricated metal products in the given month was up by 17.1 percent month on month and dropped by 15.8 percent year on year.
