Turkey's automotive sales up 32.9 percent in February from January

In February this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 11.1 percent year on year and were up by 32.9 percent month on month to 46,965 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey decreased by 14.6 percent year on year and were up by 34.9 percent month on month to 34,658 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 0.6 percent year on year and were up by 27.7 percent month on month to 12,307 units.
 
Meanwhile, in the January-February period of this year domestic sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles saw a decrease of 3.8 percent year on year, amounting to 82,288 units. In the given period, domestic sales of passenger cars in the country decreased by 5.6 percent to 60,347 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles rose by 1.6 percent to 21,941 units, both on year-on-year basis.
