Russia-based TMK, one of the world's leading oil and gas steel pipe producers, has completed a shipment of 13-chrome steel pipes with TMK FMT premium connections to a Rosneft subsidiary operating in the Chkalovskoye field.

The pipes are made from 13-chrome steel, which is highly resistant to harsh environments. TMK has become the first Russian company to manufacture OCTG pipes from this type of steel.

"The development of new types of products required by our customers is very important for TMK. A very limited number of global premium pipe producers are able to make OCTG from 13-chrome steel," said Alexander Shiryaev, TMK CEO. By starting this production at its facilities, TMK has now become part of this elite club and has got access to a very important segment of the global premium pipe market," he said.
