According to recent reports, Tenaris’ new $1.5 billion seamless pipe mill in Bay City, Texas is in its final testing phase and getting ready to open for full production in fall 2017. Construction of the mill began in September 2013.

In a press release, Tenaris said the opening of “the most technologically advanced” pipe mill is well-timed given the recent boom in oil and gas drilling.
