On October 20 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in 21 major cities in China totaled 9.0 million mt, down 240,000 mt or 2.6 percent compared to October 10, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
In particular, as of October 20, domestic inventory of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), and rebar amounted to 2.06 million mt, 1.18 million mt and 3.61 million mt, decreasing by 1.0 percent, 2.5 percent and 7.0 percent, while inventory of common medium plate and wire rod totaled 1.21 million mt and 0.94 million mt, up 2.5 percent and 5.6 percent, respectively, all compared to October 10.
