On September 10 this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in 21 major cities in China totaled 9.57 million mt, down 50,000 mt or 0.5 percent compared to August 31, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
In particular, as of September 10, domestic inventory of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC) and rebar amounted to 2.01 million mt, 1.2 million mt and 4.39 million mt, decreasing by 1.5 percent, 1.6 percent and 1.1 percent, respectively, while inventory of common medium plate and wire rod amounted to 1.06 million mt and 0.91 million mt, up 3.9 percent and up 1.1 percent, respectively, all compared to August 31.
